Football is more than a game. It brings people together, creates memories, and gives millions something to live for. But climate change is making the world hotter, and football is feeling the impact, on the pitch, in stadiums, and on everyday community fields.
As part of the activities to commemorate World Environment Day 2026, TGED Foundation’s Greener Minds Club is taking action through Kick for the Planet, a charity football match to raise ₦500,000 for the planting of 250 trees across schools in Ekiti State.
These trees will bring back shade to our football fields and communities, improve air quality, and create a cooler, healthier environment for everyone to live, play, and thrive.
You don’t have to give millions to make a difference.
₦2,000 plants 1 tree.
₦20,000 plants 10 trees.
One tree can change a child’s everyday experience of the game and life.
Join us in taking action against climate change and protecting the future of football and our communities.
