THE FUTURE OF OUR FORESTS STARTS WITH US: GREENER MINDS CLUB LEADS THE CHARGE ON INTERNATIONAL FOREST DAY 2025
Forests are more than just trees; they are the lifeline of our planet. From providing food and medicine to protecting biodiversity and combating climate change, these ecosystems sustain life in ways we often take for granted.
Yet, the statistics are alarming:
With the theme “Forest and Food,” the Greener Minds Club, an initiative of TGED Foundation, took action to raise awareness and inspire change on March 24, 2025, at Florence Court International School.
This wasn’t just another environmental talk—it was an interactive, student-led movement that made conservation real, fun, and impactful.
A CELEBRATION OF LEARNING, ACTION, AND HOPE
1. The Ultimate Forest Quiz
Who knew learning about forests could be this exciting? Students battled it out in a thrilling quiz competition, testing their knowledge on everything from the role of pollinators to climate change solutions.
2. A Treasure Hunt with a Purpose
Imagine learning about deforestation and biodiversity while hunting for clues! Students worked in teams to unlock eco-facts at different stations, reinforcing their understanding of why forests matter.
3. Animation That Brings Forests to Life
A short-animated film on deforestation and sustainability had the audience glued to their seats. Seeing the impact of forest destruction through animation made the message more powerful than words alone.
4. Tree Planting: Turning Words into Action
Nothing says commitment like getting your hands in the soil! Students, teachers, and guests planted new trees, symbolizing their dedication to a greener future.
5. Inducting the Next Generation of Green Leaders
The event also marked the official induction of Greener Minds Club executives, young environmentalists who will lead future projects within their school and community.
6. The Magic of Moonlight Tales
Stories are one of the most powerful ways to inspire change. Students and guests gathered for a storytelling session, where traditional tales emphasized the importance of respecting nature.
The event wasn’t just for students—it brought together teachers, parents, environmental experts.
THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING
The Greener Minds Club International Forest Day celebration wasn’t just an event—it was a movement.
With every quiz answer, every tree planted, and every story told, students became part of the solution to one of the world’s most urgent crises.
